Case study / Research, design & engineering

The AI Atlas.

From “which tool?” to a first step you can use.

The problem

A comparison needs
somewhere to go.

Knowing what a tool supports does not explain whether it fits your work, or what to do with it.

People arrive with different goals and different levels of experience. A useful comparison needs to explain an approach, the conditions it depends on, and a small way to try it.

We built the Atlas around that decision, with deeper research available whenever the details matter.

The experience

Start with a task.
Leave ready to try.

01 / Give it direction

Choose a real task and answer two visible questions. “Not sure” is a valid answer.

02 / Understand the choice

See a starting approach, why it fits, when to consider the alternative, and what you need before beginning.

03 / Take it with you

Copy a prompt containing your context, the tradeoffs, a first experiment, success checks and sources.

Your shortlist and saved context stay available as you explore. The prompt works in your preferred AI, with no account or email gate.

If you hit a roadblock, bring the research, conversation or codebase to Granata Labs. We can help turn that first attempt into a dependable product.

Places to begin

Real work.
A focused first experiment.

Summarize documents with sources

Get a useful summary and a way to check where the answer came from.

Make a product video from photos

Turn a still image into a short shot, with the export and editing needs in view.

Build a small web app

Try one working interaction, with a clear path to previewing and keeping control of the code.

Repair an AI-built app

Understand a failing build and make the smallest repair you can check and undo.

Create a visual

Make a useful image for a post, presentation or campaign.

Make a music track

Explore a song idea or an editable cue for your project.

Create a voiceover

Turn a short script into speech you can use and review.

Prototype a 3D asset

Turn a prop idea into a mesh you can test in your own tools.

Automate a repeatable task

Try one supervised workflow before building a larger agent.

Answer customer questions

Test useful, grounded answers before connecting an assistant to customers.

Develop an existing app

Take the prototype or product you already have into its next useful iteration.

These guides cover specific jobs across all eight Atlas categories. The broader catalog lets you research other tools and categories without forcing your work into one of them.

Evidence and judgment

Show the reasoning.
Keep its limits visible.

  1. A documented feature is not a quality score.

Product facts link to primary sources and carry checked dates. Our recommendations explain workflow fit; they do not claim we have benchmarked every result.

  2. An unknown requirement stays unresolved.

If the evidence cannot establish a fit, the guide explains the gap and the next action. It does not invent a winner.

  3. An app and a model are different choices.

Guided product research stays separate from the dated model catalog. Subscription access, API billing, export conditions and setup requirements remain attached to the offering they describe.

Built at Granata Labs

Useful decisions.
Connected to real work.

We designed and built the research structure, decision logic, interface and prompt handoff. The Atlas makes that work available to explore and question.

The same practice extends to client projects: understand the task, test the assumptions, and build the system around what works.

Your next step

Bring us the problem
you want to solve.

We can help choose an approach and turn it into a working system.
